FILMING: Torridge teenager Matt Phillips on Lundy Island.
The 13-strong group from youth group Seize the Moment were able to work with the island's general manager, Derek Green, during the four-day trip.
Sam Ford, 15, said: "We didn't really know how much work went on behind the scenes.
"On the day we arrived they had six hours to change and prepare 27 properties for the next guests. We were able to see how the people on the island work really hard to make the place so special."
The teenagers helped out with some of the house-keeping duties to gain work experience, and several have said how they hope to work on the island when they turn 18.
Saxon Bowden, 14, added: "The main income for Lundy is through green tourism so it is very important that visitors have a good stay.
"People come to see the wonderful wildlife and views which really are amazing. We walked miles each day and one night we walked to the North Light and saw wild deer. Another day we walked the East Cliffs and saw dolphins and seals — it is a magical place."
The group hope to work with a professional film maker during the summer holidays to improve their skills for the final DVD of their work which will be available free of charge to schools and community groups in North Devon from November 2010.
An archive of all of their work in progress is available at www.wearenortham.com
