SPARKLERS, cigarette lighters, glow sticks — when it comes to photography all kinds of lights can be used to great effect. You can find out more when photographer Dave Green leads a workshop, Playing with Light, this Saturday (February 27), 6.30pm on Westward Ho! Beach, North Devon.

This is an exciting chance to take pictures at night using light sources such as the almost full moon, torches, flash, flame and more. There will be some cameras provided, lots of torches, a laptop with card reader, some tripods and flash guns. Participants need to take a digital camera, a tripod if they have one, torches (ideally ones that give coloured light) plus any other light sources they fancy to be creative.

Pre-booking is essential. More information on Dave's website: www.greengallery.co.uk.
