More plots for South Molton gardeners
A COMMUNITY garden is set for expansion due to its overwhelming success since being set up in 2010.
South Molton's community garden is located in the old sheep fair field and has 26 plots. After being granted permission by South Molton Town Council, the group now plans to add 10 plots to meet increased demand.
Richard Westcott, chairman of South Molton Community Garden, said there people aged three to 83 get involved on the plots.
"We have a lot of young families and several older people who may need a hand with the digging so we have some young men who roll up their sleeves and help," he said.

Garden co-ordinator Fran Sendell has much experience having run Wembworthy outdoor pursuits centre for 17 years before its closure.
She said a highlight of being involved was taking part in "good honest toil" and that it was a sign of the times that more people were growing their own food.
