“ This was a real find for us over the Christmas holidays. We were so impressed by our first visit that we returned three times in the following week. Wide-ranging menu and excellent food, good portions served piping hot. Lovely warm friendly atmosphere and old-fashioned interior , with real ales on tap. Choice of options for vegetarians that were thankfully NOT dominated by cheese, were a real plus. Recommend highly. ”

Traditional with a twist of exotic

“This place deserves four stars just for its great name! It's a little off the beaten track, but that suits it as it's an old school little place, really lovely and traditional. The menu is surprisingly wide including plenty of seafood and vegetarian stuff. They have more obvious pub food like prawn cocktail, along with more exotic dishes influenced by Thai and Chinese cuisine. ”
