“ I was very impressed with the "Fitzwell" on every occasion. First, I rented out the suit for my wedding , then I bought a few shirts and accessories as much as renting another gorgeous suit for our religious ceremony back in Romania and only a few months ago I bought two suits for my sister's wedding. I wish all the shops would offer the same level of quality and the staff would be as attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. Even if you bump into the shop not having any clue about what you want, the lovely ladies will give you all the help to try a vast range of quality products and you will always come out happy. On a scale from 1-10, it will have to be at least 11. I would definitely recommend it and I will return any time I need classic clothing! Eddie ”

We are always happy to give quotations for suits we stock in store or for fabrics featured in our suppliers brochures. This enables us to cater for a complete variety of tastes.
Suits by Remus Uomo, Ultraslim, the Scott Tall range, Wellington portly cut and all sizes and shapes in between.
All our fabrics are of the highest standard with worsted wool mixes, 100% pure new wool and the new ultra fine wool weaves being our best sellers.

Brilliant shop, brilliant staff!
“There are very few other shops that I've been into that offer the same attention to detail as does the lovely staff at Fitzwell in Barnstaple. From helpful, qualified advice to friendliness and quality products, you find it all there. I really value the shopping experience there and I would go back every single time I need a suit or something along those lines and that's not just buying but also very good deals when it comes to renting. I first got married wearing a suit hired from them, I then bought another shirts and hired another suit for the religious ceremony back in Romania, and only 3 months ago I bought another 2 suits for my sister's wedding , so I'm not just someone that bumped into the shop once. Every single time I've been very impressed with the courtesy of the ladies' that lokked after me, every single time I've been given the same care and attention as the first time and if they would do casual and sportswear as well, it would probably be the 9 Barnstaple , High Street , the only place I would ever shop.....saying that, though, it's got the glamour of a place that sells classic clothing and does it very well!

Top Class suits and Top Class service
“The suits at Fitzwell are some of he best around,they are great quality and very affordable! The hire prices are excellent as are the purchase prices!

I found the ladies in there incredibly helpful almost to helpful that they actually lost my custom simply from all there ideas they gave me on how to get my wedding outfit together much cheaper!
If you are looking for a quieter shop to look for smart mens wear then this is the place to go. ”
