Nine-try Barnstaple thrash Maidenhead in National Three south west
BARNSTAPLE scored nine tries to thrash Maidenhead 63-13 this afternoon.
It was a welcome confidence boost for Barum who had won only one of their previous five matches in National Three south west.

They took more than half an hour to cross Maidenhead's line for the first time.
But the floodgates opened in the second half as the visitors showed no mercy to the division's bottom team.

Ben Vellacott and Josh Lee scored tries in the first half and, with Neil Giddy kicking two penalties and a conversion, Barnstaple led 18-3 at the break.
Second-half tries were scored by Jimmy Manley, who crossed twice on his debut, Winston James, Will Topps (two), Tom Heard and Toby Williamson.
Giddy added five conversions for a personal tally of 18 points.
Kevin Squire, the Barnstaple director of rugby, said: "It took us a while to break them down but the tries came thick and fast in the second half.
"Maidenhead were very poor but we got out of the game what we wanted – an away bonus-point win and a great deal of confidence."
Bideford are now 15 points adrift of St Austell after losing 17-6 to the Tribute Western Counties (west) leaders. Bude lost 27-12 at Penryn.
Torrington got their second win of the season in Devon One, beating Topsham 15-7 at Donnacroft, but South Molton suffered their first defeat, losing 25-13 at Totnes.
