Marathon man near finish line
NIELSON Webber set off from Barnstaple on Tuesday on the fourth leg of his seven marathons in seven days.
He is raising money for Spinal Research UK and his girlfriend, Carly Taylor, who broke her neck in November when she suffered a fall in Truro.
Barnstaple rugby player Nielson, 22, began his trek in Carly's home village Crantock, Cornwall, on Saturday.
He is due to complete the journey tomorrow at Carly's bedside at Salisbury District Hospital.
Writing on his blog after arriving in Barnstaple on day three, Nielson said: "I am realistic enough to know that it's going to get tougher before it gets easier but I keep the thought of seeing Carly on Friday evening at the forefront of my thoughts and that will get me through."
