Why won't you help me?
SEVEN North Devon Councillors have failed to respond to an e-mail from one of their concerned constituents asking for their help – despite the fact four of them claim an allowance designed to help them do so.
In a digital age, where instant communication is the norm, the seven councillors failed to send a brief reply to a simple e-mail despite having five weeks, and a reminder, to do so.
And that has prompted the Taxpayers' Alliance to call for councillors who ignore their constituents to be booted out of government come local election time.
